Being is the essence out of which all things evolve. This blog is an ongoing conversation of being in various facets and areas of life, including the personal and the professional from which relationships of all kinds are formed and teams built in all communities, virtual or real, at home, at work, in politics and at play.
"When you believe in things That you don't understand. Then you suffer Superstition ain't the way"
Now there are some true words for sure! I'll always remember this song because of the opening with the drums and being surprised to learn that he played them! An incredible talent for sure...
I happened to be in basic training in 1973 when "Innervisions" came out with the song "Living for the City" on it. I heard the song about 982,000,000 times...that and Eddie Kendricks "Keep On Truckin'". Eddie's tune got old after a while...Living for the City still makes me think today!
"I hope you hear inside my voice of sorrow And that it motivates you to make a better tomorrow"
Makes me think of you Auntie "J" ...hope you are well!
Dave - I love all of your stories. I still remember those Converse that you have kept. Thank you. I am doing well indeed. Thank you. I have a lot to share. I'll phone soon. Hope all is well for you too. You are my friend.

On the original recording that's Stevie himself on the drums. What a song. What a track.
