Being is the essence out of which all things evolve. This blog is an ongoing conversation of being in various facets and areas of life, including the personal and the professional from which relationships of all kinds are formed and teams built in all communities, virtual or real, at home, at work, in politics and at play.

Being Inspired by Others
"Dance is bigger than the physical body. When you extend your arm, it doesn't stop at the end of your fingers, because you're dancing bigger than that; you're dancing spirit."

Being Alvin Ailey
This is a tribute to the great choreographer, Alvin Ailey.
This is also for the countless others who appreciate dance, music and art, all of which transcend space and time.
Love is this transcendence, a power that impacts the here and now.

Being Design-Focused II
Tom Peters writes this about design: "Design is the No.1 determinant of whether a product-service-experience stands out--or does not."
Performance also determines what stands out and what doesn't.
Think:
Madonna
Alvin Ailey
Jamie Dimon
Michael Jordon
K.D. Rowlings
Tom Peters
Cirque de Soleil
Martha Graham
Tiger Woods
Performance requires people who know how to execute under pressure and within deadlines; they know how to seize the moment.
