Being is the essence out of which all things evolve. This blog is an ongoing conversation of being in various facets and areas of life, including the personal and the professional from which relationships of all kinds are formed and teams built in all communities, virtual or real, at home, at work, in politics and at play.

Being a Police State
A Police State has one purpose: to protect the powerful. And there is only one reason to fear peaceful protestors: if the powerful are threatened.
Why is everything absolute? And why, if we are in a police state, can we talk about what happened with the various protest freely? I saw an interveiw with an ex police chief who criticized the actions the police took. No one broke into my apartment and shut off the tv. Life isn't perfect and will continue to get less perfect if all anybody does is hype and overstate everything from either side of the political spectrum, Btw, there is a world of difference between the deems and the GOP. For example, if the appointment of the chief supreme court justice happened under a dem, corporations would not be people today.
What does your comment have to do with the post? The post has nothing to do with conservative or liberals, but everything to do with the lopsided handling of peaceful protestors across the country as opposed to the bankers that got us in this mess with the help of both liberal and conservative presidents and lawmakers. I saw a brilliant sign: "If they enforce bank regulations the way they enforce park rules, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place." And a singular statement need not embrace the totality of every thought pro and con. Duh! When Eisenhower warned about the fear of the Military Industrial Complex do you think he should have included all of the possibilities of it not being so? It was a warning.
