Thank you Judith. I was an opera lover as a child but I didn't care for wagner. I would listen to it but thought it was long and boring. Until I saw a production of Tannhauser (imagine an umlaut) at the Met in New York. The performance was so very good that I saw and heard what it was all about. Today I am a Wagner lover. DB
