Being in a New Year

Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!

--William Arthur Ward

Happy New Year from me to you!

David, my dear friend, I am also sincerely blessed by you. You have encouraged and pushed me this year in personal and professional ways. Your wisdom is deeply appreciated. All the very best in the coming year for you and yours. Do tell your beautiful talented thoughtful daughter Chesapeake that I especially wish her the very best.

By the way, I am up to four miles a day and will be doing my regular ten miles daily again in no time. I'm going to run a half marathon in the Spring and the full one in the Fall. Although I've been getting back into shape this whole year, over the past four months I have kicked it up a notch, meeting with a personal trainer four times weekly. I think I'll be up to the task. Wish me luck! :-)

Thanks for sharing this...terrific words indeed. And thanks for the kind words, encouragement and support you have blessed me with for the past years as well. My life is better for your presence in it for sure Auntie "J"...

As Oprah said "Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right". Here's hoping 2010 is joyous, prosperous and healthy one for all!

Kelly - What can I say? I am so very happy that we have met. You have been very dear to me and we have shared wonderful things. You have also been among my closest readers of my work in progress, offering advice, encouragement, and a keen ear, not to mention super editing skills. You heard my voice well and were so meticulous. Both were invaluable to me. There is more to come. Thank you my dear friend, my beautiful sister. Wishing you and the family all the very best in the New Year!
