Being Excellent

"Excellence is doing ordinary things, extraordinarily well."

--John Gardner

Discover the ordinary by being exceptionally observant and listening incredibly well. The extraordinary is in the excellence of the ordinary.

(Thanks, DB, for the quote.)

Life is mostly about doing the ordinary. I think this view of excellence is a wonderful boost to everyone's perspective on their day. Thanks Judith.

You are extraordinary, my dear nephew. I suppose that you are back from India, eh?

Love it! The world would be a very different and enjoyable place if more folks practiced that advice. I have been blessed to meet and learn many extraordinary things from "ordinary" folks. Makes the days special and interesting indeed!

What a blessing indeed, Dave. There is a reason for this scripture: "Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation." (Romans 12:16)
