This blog is an ongoing conversation of being in various facets and areas of life, including the personal and the professional from which relationships of all kinds are formed and teams built in all communities, virtual or real, at home, at work, in politics and at play.

Being Apologetic
In recognition of Black History Month NBC served up a mean meal:
NBC later apologized. I guess I'm trying to understand why. This is a meal that could have been served at our house or any of my relatives' home on Sunday after church.
Yummy! Although, you sure wouldn't want to eat like that every day of the week. Such meals were reserved for Sunday at our house. We rarely had fried food, but we did have all of the other foods. Yes, I understand the stereotyping fear, but I don't think it's appropriate. If it was Mexican Month or Italian Month, the food would be representative of the culture, no?

In an attempt not to be criticized for promoting a stereotype it would seem the point of celebrating our heritage was missed.
The meal sounds delicious!

No, not everyday! I agree, let's not re-paint history but respect and celebrate what a rich heritage and courageous people we are from.
Yes, indeed. There are a great many others who have rich histories as well. Humanity generally has a very rich history.
