"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ."
Ephesians 4:7
In a conversation this morning with my brother Haywood he made this point about grace: "Each of us have been given grace according to our purpose." Grace is the ability to accomplish that purpose. But what happens when we assume the purpose of another? Do we then have the grace to fulfill it?

Tapping into that grace is a lifelong endeavor. I find my purpose sometimes in the smallest exchange with another. Judith, thank you for giving me something personally valuable to reflect about. You have a gift to stir thinking! I loved philosophy class in college. We would have had fun together debating and discussing in class together.
Yes, Kelly, we would have fun together. I LOVE this line: "I find my purpose sometimes in the smallest exchange with another." Thank you for that, my sister, my friend. Also, many thanks for your continued encouragement. It means much.
