Being the Other

I am the other; the other is me. What would we like the world to be?

A beautiful and healthy, life giving garden.

Many times we look at the actions of others and are appalled and angered. (These things are not inherently bad, by the way. But how we deal with them can be. Wmmbb on his blog, Duckpond, reminded me of this.) I forever seek to look at these actions and wonder how I have contributed to such things in thought and actions. If we hold impure unjust thoughts, they will be manifested in our actions. If I consider the other than I see me.

very well said Judith. Indeed one of the first steps in every esoteric tradition is to let impure & unjust thoughts go away. Ruminating anger, which so easily pervades our lives, is the worst poison.

Indeed, -A-C-. But the esoteric has roots somewhere and its knowledge is probably broader and more relative than we think. Anger exists; forgiveness is far better.

Yes, I love this statement and your
response to Cat, explains it so
well. I often wonder to what is
my negative contribution at times
and how may I change?

Yes, Cynthia. It is really very basic. I don't, however, believe in the least in beating ourselves over the head about very our unjust act or thought. Constant change is necessary.

The idea is to forever be heading toward a better way, to be forever thinking about better things. We are forever becoming; it is the genuine effort that makes the difference.

Thank you for your words. I hope you will pop through again. We are indeed helpers one to another. I love your flower it reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe.
