Being Patient

"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."

--Hebrews 10:36

Isn't is true that many of us give up too soon?

"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes and in Him Amen to the glory of God through us."

--2 Corinthians 2:20

The "yes" and "amen" are regarding our life, our health, our happiness, our career, our....

For God's glory is declared "through us" by His promises.

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers"

--3 John 2

Patience enables us to receive the promises of God that we may prosper in all things body, mind and spirit.

Be patient! The promises in Him are yes and amen!

Judith, thank you. I know that God will never let me down. All good will come eventually. I appreciate this kind reminder about patience. Sometimes I fall into the trap of wanting more right now in my life. Life is about stages. Celebrate the here and now.

septembermom - Pleasure. The trap that you sometimes fall into is one that we all experience.

I have most certainly been there and have become more patient with old age. :-) I was 13 and feeling rather impatient. But in my impatience was also an assurance.

I love your rejoinder: "Celebrate the here and now." Thank you for that.
