Being Peaceable

"Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart."

--Unknown

Peace is gained internally in spite of what's occurring externally. The photo represents this peace.

This line is so true. But, I reckon it is hard to separate yourself from the outside occurring and stay peaceful. Having written that, I think there is where meditation helps a lot.

Then, if that is true, then I suppose I am not a person who finds peace easily for I become overwhelmed by too much noise, too overstimulated. Blame it on my crazy superdramatic sisters I grew up with.... *sigh*

But, I do live a life of peace nonetheless...a life without excess noise and drama, nice and easy, easy-cheesy....

It is in the "nonetheless," rebecca, where peace is often found. Peace begins in belief. I order it even amid chaos, knowing that "ALL things work to together for the good to them who love God and are the called according to His purpose." Peace is the confidence that in spite of all, things will work out for my good, "nonetheless." This I believe.

Judith,

""Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart."

Where were those words when I was in my 20's. The concept of being calm in one's heart is a relatively new one to me as "peace of mind" was always the objective. It is only in the past weeks that I have come to the realization to listen and follow where the heart takes you. There is a certain personal evolution or transformation that takes place that has brought some sense and tranquility to situation that was most stressful.

Thank you Judith...validation is a marvelous thing!
