Being is the essence out of which all things evolve. This blog is an ongoing conversation of being in various facets and areas of life, including the personal and the professional from which relationships of all kinds are formed and teams built in all communities, virtual or real, at home, at work, in politics and at play.

Being Greedy
This seems very surreal, doesn't it? But is this really the way many of us have been living our lives daily? Or, is it just a few?
Perhaps this is the reason for the name of the movie, "Wall Street."
There are some Wall Street brokers, Investors, bankers and lawyers who are so greedy they don't even know thay are. They are so morally corrupt they have no knowledge of it. Greed grows in the same pot as squeamishness and no one knows it.
The only part I agreed with him is that greed for knowledge is good. I wonder how many Wall Street-ers saw this movie 20-odd years ago and used it as their blueprint for success. The crazy and sad thing about this is that I am sure there are people who actually subscribe to this...
How about a remake? With an older Michael Douglas playing a Maddof-ian role? Lesson there, no? =)
Oh, you're really good, Rebecca. I certainly did not pick up the greed for knowledge bit. LOL! Does he actually say that or is it your inference? Gotta play it again. Yeah, maybe somebody can pitch a movie with that Madoff character. In fact, I'm sure a screen play is probably already been written.
Gordon Gecko! Wall Street is one of my favorite movies and if I recall the Gecko charecter was a combination of several Wall Street players including Ivan Boesky and Micheal Milken who both were involved in Wall Street/trading scandals. I'm sure rebecca is correct that many folks used GG as their "role model"...The more things change, the more the stay the same!

DB - I love it when you pass through. Thank you, dear sir.

I didn't know that, Dave. Art imitates life and human nature remains the same.
