Being Helpful

If I Can Help Somebody

I can help somebody, as I pass along,
If I can cheer somebody, with a word or song,
If I can show somebody, how they're travelling wrong,
Then my living shall not be in vain.

Chorous:

My living shall not be in vain,
Then my living shall not be in vain
If I can help somebody, as I pass along,
Then my living shall not be in vain.

If I can do my duty, as a good man ought,
If I can bring back beauty, to a world up wrought,
If I can spread love's message, as the Master taught,
Then my living shall not be in vain.

His voice is so soothing. Imagine the power of his serenade :) I love when you post these videos and the lyrics. There is no other award in life more precious than the look of gratitude from someone who was helped by you along the way.

Beautiful lines! Indeed, life would be worthwhile if led the way, he has described in his song. This is contentment!

Yes, Kelly, his voice is soothing. And, Of course, Nat King Cole introduction was so true, "The Great Mr. B!" Indeed! It's my pleasure to post these videos and lyrics. They have touched me in some way or another that I wish to share them with you here. I'm happy you enjoy them.

Glad you like the lyrics, Ajey. You are such a talented lyricist yourself. There are such profound thoughts and beauty, a little pain too--sometimes even a lot, in your work. I so wish you Godspeed, my young gifted friend. Peace and love I send to you.
