Being Billy Graham

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!"

May God bless the family and loved ones of Dr. George Tiller who was gunned down Sunday in church for fulfilling his duties as a physician under the law.

As a Christian who is conservative in some ways, let me be the first to condemn the violent act that took the life of Dr. Tiller, 67.

I am not a fan of Roe V. Wade. I respect the fact that it's the Law of the Land. I grieve over it daily, though.

But I also grieve over nut cases who would take another's life just to prove a point whatever that is.

Whether you are pro or con abortion, I can't ally myself behind someone who would do something like this.

Thoughts and prayers going out to Mr. Tiller's family.

CJ - How is my college buddy? It's good to see you. I have missed you. Yes, there are many conservatives that feel as you do and this is a good thing.

Regarding Roe vs. Wade, there are some cases where abortions are absolutely necessary. I support this. However, there is a precarious thing about conservatives. How can they be pro-life, pro war and pro death penalty?

By the way, I think that there are few people that are pro-abortion. Many are pro-choice. There is a difference in ideology, I think, and how such decisions are made.

God alone is the judge of our hearts and intentions, our actions too.
