"I've been absolutely terrified every moment of my life - and I've never let it keep me from doing a single thing I wanted to do."
-- Georgia O'Keeffe
The O'Keeffe quote reminds me of something that I often say: Being fearless is not the absence of fear; it's moving forward in spite of it.

How absolutely true :)
Catherine - O'Keeffe has long inspired me.
Agree with what O'Keeffe had to say.
Good to see you, Haddock!
I should try and catch that biopic of her next time it's on.
Tremas - I have seen a number about her life--fascinating. Is there a recent one?
Wonderful words of wisdom
Hi Pam! It's great to see you. Love to you, girl!
This brings to mind another quote: "Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway."
John Wayne
Beautiful, DB. Thank you!
A very good quote, but, I must add that Aunt, your quote has won me over!!!
Direct from Tom's Blog, hello Judith, totally agree about the post, poetically speaking, and "reality-aware" speaking...
Oh, Ajey, you are my dear nephew whom I Love. Thank you for your kind words.
Ciao Enrico - Good to have you! Do pass through again.
I'm reading a biography/painting analysis of O'Keeffe right now. I'm loving every minute of it. She was so fascinating in life and in her art.
LIFETIME had one in 2009, staring Joan Allen.
Not a *big& LIFETIME watcher, but I want to see this. :)
Kelly - What are you reading? I have read so many biographies about her and her great photographer husband, Alfred Stieglitz.
Yeah, Tremas, I think I saw it advertised at some point. I too am not a big Lifetime person. But I would check this out. Allen is not a bad actor either.
I did see the Lifetime biography on O'Keefe it was very good. It showed sides of her I had no previous knowledge of. I recommend it for the O'Keefe fan.
Cool, Pam! I'll check it out!
So true. And lately, I've been afraid. I just need to suck it up and get on with it.
Remember, my friend, Meena, that being fearless is not the absence of fear; it's moving forward in spite of it. I believe you can do it!
