Being a Goalkeeper

Reading how Jupiter is a "goalkeeper" from preventing asteroids and comets from crashing into earth, as many believed happen 65 million years ago and caused the extinction of the dinosaurs, I could not help but to marvel yet again at the complex solar system that suspends and protects everything in space and our duty not to implode earth from the inside out. Jupiter is the goalkeeper from without and we are the goalkeepers from within.

Isn't Jupiter beautiful? I love science!

Hooray for that goalkeeper! It's funny that you mention Jupiter today. Jillian and I were talking about the planets a few weeks ago. I guess Jupiter stuck in her mind because she named her new monkey doll "Jupiter Monkey".

Oh, Kelly, I love this comment too. But instead of smiling I laughed aloud. "Jupiter Monkey?" Too funny! You are doing a beautiful and wonderful thing by sharing your love of science with your kids. My mom did the same with us. In fact, there wasn't much that didn't interest her that she didn't share.

You are a super mom, Kelly. And I don't just say this because of your comment here. Anybody who reads your blog knows the sincerity, love, struggles, openness, and truth you experience and seek in raising your little ones.

All the best, my sister, my friend. I visit often because your blog reminds me of home.

I find it more beautiful, now that I know what it does to keep us protected.
