Being Exceeds Naming

How important are titles and positions? For me it is all a matter of being: being excellent, being good-natured, being professional, being integral, being expressive, being helpful, being loyal, etc. What you call me does not negate me or elevate me. I am. The question may now become how do we translate this strong sense of being into various environments? We do this through our actions daily. If my actions profoundly change my environment, what you call me has no significance. I am. In our various environments we have to be the change as Mahatma Gandhi said and walk the talk as St Francis of Assisi said. Being exceeds naming.

Ho! That is right on Judith.

Just curious, have you ever taken the Myers Briggs personality test? In Kiersey's book that talks about it, he says Ghandi is an 'Idealist' personality type. That's my 'type' and I wonder if you are too...it's just a feeling that you could be. ;-)

Hi Cat - According to Myers Briggs, I am an ENTJ. In the Enneagram, a system that I have recently come to know, defines me as an 8 with a 2 wing. But I am also an idealist. :-)

Such systems are interesting and can be helpful. But I NEVER put an incredible amount of stock in these things with regards to myself or others. We are forever becoming...

I agree, like unfolding flowers.

Judith, you MUST have a ghostwriter. I struggle with getting one post up a month and you'll knock out a half dozen at once. You're an ENTJ, eh? I'm an INFJ though I'm barely an I, F, or J. Great fun tho. I like to use this tool (or the Enneagram) for team-building.

John - It was you who introduced me to the Enneagram. Thanks. Yep, this stuff is fun!

Love these words you have written,
and I so very much needed each
morsel now in my life.
Thank you Judith.

Ah, Cynthia, you are a most beautiful poet. I go to your site daily for the beauty there. Thank you. It is my pleasure to say that which touch another. We are helpers one to another.
