Being Servant-Led

Young people entered politics over the years as a means to serve. We have gotten away from the importance of service and many have gone into the financial industry.

Money has become the raison d'etre for many, as reflected in the professions our young people have chosen to enter over these last few decades.

Hopefully, President Obama's emphasis on service will change this. We need leaders in every profession in our country that is servant-led.

Jesus Christ said, "I am among you as one who serves."

What beautiful words, Cherie. Thank you. I'm really glad you like my blog. I SO appreciate yours. There is a lot of beauty there. Haven't popped in a little while but I'm on my way now.

Judith,

I have learned a great deal about many things during our conversations, but if there is any one core value or theme I have always known you to live by is the love we show and the charecter we reveal when we serve others. Be it servant-leaders, church, or "walking the talk" in the local community...service.

That is an attitude to be admired, respected, and "modeled"...

Dave - The words you have written are most important to me. There is no greater love than service to others. Love is not love until we give it away. I strongly believe in giving love away in many ways.

Judith,
Excellent post because it affirms that Being Servant-led is always the best leadership.

May I be allowed to sum it as follows:-

Faith without love is dead;
Love without serve is also dead;
Similarly, Faith without serve is fatal.

Blessings to you.
