Being Wise

"Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to everyone generously without a rebuke, and it will be given to him."

-- James 1:5

Wisdom is listening wholly and responding in love.

You are so right Judith, the way to wisdom is indeed listening and
responding in love, thank you for
reminding me.

I just read How to Disappear,
oh tres wonderful!
There was a time when I would not
hesitate to say no - and now is the
time again to adopt that word.
There was a time when I would quickly ask Why? and now again in
life I find myself committing a
disservice to myself by not asking
Why?

Thank you again Judith for
reminding me of the right to say
No, the right to ask Why and the
joy of holding my gifts to myself,
not giving them away so readily.
To honoring my time. Wow!

I think Miss Judith, you have lead
me to my New Year Resolutions!

Thanks again for making me think
clearly, love Cynthia.

Cynthia,

I am so very happy to say anything that is of use for you. You are a dear soul with a most beautiful gift for words. I honor your gift and the person that I am finding you to be. Continued blessings in the new year.

My dear friend, the poet, Naomi Shihab Nye, wrote a poem, "The Art of Disappearing," which I include here permanently. There is nothing wrong with escaping and there is also nothing wrong with being very present. You decide which.

There is nothing wrong with asking why? Continue to do so, knowing also when to be silent. We find voice or lack thereof listening.

With love,

Judith
