Being Skin

We are skin.

Open and many

Participles and pride

Breathing and receiving

Secreting and cooling

Protecting, yet releasing

Bruised and healing

Dead and alive

Shedding and re-creating

Beautiful skin.

Definitely beautiful skin Judith. Imagine if our skins do not regenerate and we only have the same skin. Of course I see the metaphor behind these words and it makes me think more and more...and maybe I need to write a poem.

Our skin is indeed regenerative. I also wondered about the skin of other animals, vegetables and fruit.

The structure of molecules interests me.

I had been thinking of these words for a few days after reading your wonderful piece, "The Sweat."

Thanks again for those thoughtful words.

Yes, we are Judith, you've written
life so well. We are all dying
and surviving continually.

Ah,this is beautiful Judith!!! As Khaled KEM mentioned, the metaphors make you think over and over again. And, that's what I like about songs. You must have already noticed their extensive usage in my songs as well.

Beautiful poet, Cynthia, these words are striking.

We are forever becoming...

The process of life indeed.

Thanks, Brosreview. Life and death are both metaphors. Metaphors are the continuums of stories and melodies.
